7 Best SEO Courses for Bloggers in 2022 (Comprehensive-Basic)
Learning proper SEO is the single most important thing every blogger should do to ensure long-term blog growth. Great SEO Courses for Bloggers will teach you all the tips and strategies you should be implementing to give your blog the best chances of ranking on page one in Google.
If you came across thins article, then chances are you already know what SEO is and why it is crucial you learn about it as soon as possible. But, just in case you don’t read on…
What is SEO?
SEO is by far one of the most important aspects of running a successful blog or website.
SEO which stands for Search Engine Optimization is the action of improving, increasing, and optimizing the quality and quantity of your blog/website’s traffic through organic search engine results.
When you search for anything on Google, the first search results you see happen as a behind-the-scenes selection process Google does from their end to you give you (the reader) the best results possible.
As a blog owner, abiding by some of these parameters can ensure you also place higher in organic search results as your blog grows.
Why is SEO important?
With the proper SEO training and implementing the acquired strategies, you have the potential to receive SEO traffic that can last for years to come, with little work from your end, unlike other platforms (such as Pinterest).
Most importantly, visitors that come to your blog from targeted keyword queries from Google, are much more likely to buy or convert. Hence, increasing your chances at more blogging revenue (through ads, affiliate or product income, email subscribers, etc.).
In addition, organic traffic, especially Google traffic, is more consistent, sustainable, and more passive than other platforms.
With that said, all eggs should NOT be placed in the same basket and that is why some of these great SEO courses for bloggers have also integrated Pinterest SEO to the mix.
Popular SEO Courses vs Best SEO Courses for Bloggers
Most popular SEO courses are geared towards website businesses, and internet marketers. Some even offer an SEO certification.
They also tend to be way too expensive and far too technical which is not what bloggers are looking for.
The majorly of bloggers don’t have a technical background and they are looking for something that can teach them SEO in plain English and that won’t cost them a month worth of rent/or mortgage.
So, opting for an SEO course crafted from bloggers to bloggers is the best case scenario to learn SEO strategically and from a blogger’s approach.
Why Invest in an SEO Course for Blogger?
Short answer… learning SEO will teach you how to structure your website and content to rank on Page #1 on Google search results when someone searches a particular keyword query. Ranking for multiple keywords in your niche will grant limitless organic traffic to your blog which translates to well… a boost in your blog income. The higher your traffic, the higher your blogging revenue!
From personal experience… The biggest regret of my blogging journey was not investing in a powerhouse blogging SEO course for bloggers earlier.
My SEO knowledge was limited by self-taught strategies and free SEO information I had gathered along the way.
But it wasn’t until I invested in a top of the line SEO course (specifically for bloggers) that I didn’t have an “aha” moment.
It was only after making that investment that I had realized how much time I had wasted.
Had I known how to implement SEO from the very beginning I would have saved myself a lot of time and would have been further along in my financial goals.
In other words, had I invested in my learning earlier, that investment would have paid for itself a hundred-fold thereafter.
How to Choose the best SEO Training for you?
The SEO blogging course you choose should align with your needs, current knowledge base, and budget.
All of the following SEO courses will teach you SEO and traffic strategies, BUT they all have a different approach.
Here is a break down of the following 7 SEO resources we will cover today, so that it can help narrow down what you might be looking for:

- Adventures in SEO (Course): Pinterest and Google
- Ready Set Blog Traffic (Course): Pinterest and Google

- Easy Backlinks (eBook): Backlinks
- Easy On-Page SEO for Beginners & Intermediates (eBook): On-Page SEO (SEO for blog posts)

If you already know how to use Pinterest to bring traffic to your blog, then focusing on a course which reinforces Google SEO will be ideal for you.
If you would like a merge of SEO training focusing on both Pinterest and Google then consider courses 2 and 3.
Lastly, if all you need to learn is specific SEO strategies such as “how to build backlinks” or “navigating Google Analytics and Google Console”, then consider one of the resources in the “Basic SEO Training” section of this article.
Note: If you are brand new to Pinterest and don’t know Pinterest basics you should consider opting for a Pinterest Course for Bloggers separately. Learning from scratch both platforms at the same time could be very confusing and overwhelming.

I have been on the fence for months trying to decide how to make my SEO SEO knowledge more robust. I’m afraid of spending money and not having the investment be beneficial. Thank you for your thorough analysis.
Hey Kimberly, thanks for your honestly. I think we have all felt that way at one point or another. Truth is, investing in your SEO knowledge is hands down the best decision you could ever do to scale and grow your blog.
So the courses really make a lot of difference. Hmmm. Of course I have been going the cheap route and gathering SEO info from free youtube videos without much luck. I have signed up for The Free Masterclass that you mentioned and will go from there.
Hey Barbara… free information will only only get you so far. Trust me I know! However, the best free SEO training is Mike’s free Masterclass. You won’t be disappointed.
Great list! I actually bought Ready Set Blog for Traffic and never finished it. Looks like I need to get back to it to learn more about SEO.
Hey Rebecca, yes absolutely. If you already have the material you should definitely put it to good use. In a few months from now you will happy you did. 🙂
I am going to try the Stupid Simple one because it took me long enough to connect my Google analytics to my webpage because I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me. Then voila! One day a “stupid simple” tutorial helped me out. LOL I need to learn more SEO anyway.
Haha! Yeah, SEO is not for the faint of heart. Lol. Mike is amazing and in every single video lesson he walks you step-by-step on how to implement what he’s teaching you.
I love this list of classes because I’m working on traffic strategies. I’ve wanted to take Simple Stupid SEO for a while now but timing is always off. I’m going to check out some of these other courses too. Thanks for the great list!
Thank you Heather. Stupid Simple SEO was a game changer for me. It’s opened for enrollment as of today and the free Masterclass is super valuable.

Really interesting read. I definitely need to focus more on SEO and understand it.
There are some really useful links here.
Thanks,
Natalie
My pleasure Nat! I am glad you are looking to learn more SEO. 🙂
Tons of good info in here!! SEO can be pretty daunting, so thanks for putting all this info and these resources in one place. Looking forward to diving into these options further. 🙂
My pleasure Beth! 🙂
This is very good article for me. I just started my food blog l really l don’t have an idea want is SEO. Thanks for the suggestion about courses!
Glad you came across this Francy. I think Learning SEO and Pinterest early on in your blogging journey IS key to early and long term success.
You nailed it with some of the best SEO courses! I wish I had focused more on it in the beginning because I would have been much further down the road. It took me a little while to really understand it but I would like to take a more advanced course to get better because sometimes I still struggle with keyword research. This article really provides great information to help with choosing one.
Thank you so much Heather… I couldn’t agree with you more! I also wish I had come across these resources when I was first starting out. It would have saved me a lot of frustration. Simple Stupid SEO is incredible for keyword research. Mike’s approach to keywords research and his instructinal videos are by far the best I’ve come across.
Such a great list of courses and a very informative post! I have been eyeing adventures in SEO and Stupid Simple SEO. I didn’t sign up for them in the past because I was still paying for other big courses.
I definitely look forward to taking them up later this year!
Thanks Faith. I totally get it, most of these courses are really expensive. But, from all of the courses I’ve invested in over the years… SEO courses (from this list) along with some Pinterest Courses have been the ones with the highest return on investment.
I love how you broke this down into beginner, intermediate and advanced! I see these courses all the time and have wondered which overlap and which are too basic for my needs. Looks like Adventures in SEO is next on my list.
Thanks Jen. I know with so many choices is hard to narrow it down to something that can benefit you if you don’t know how what they each consist of. Remember, Adventures in SEO is not open year-round, unless is on enrollment week or through a special link like the one in this article. 🙂
This is so informative, thank you! My goal this year is to do more guest posting and improve my SEO so this list of courses will come in handy. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Stupid Simple SEO and Easy Backlink SEO so I’ll definitely make a note of them.
Hey Corinne, great game plan.. and yes, those two resources are amazing. I have them both.
Thank you for sharing this list! SEO is coming up more and more nowadays and there are a few on here that I have heard of a few times already, will def need to look into these!
Absolutely Lucy. Before, it was a lot easier to receive a good amount of traffic from other sources, especially Pinterest (it is still possible, but it is very hands-on). However, with the recent algorithm changes it takes a lot work to upkeep Pinterest traffic. Learning and implementing SEO is the only way to set ourselves up for future organic traffic with minimal effort from our ends.
I appreciate the info. What course would you suggest for bloggers that don’t necessarily have an affiliate? For example, my blog mainly runs an adsense account but it’s a personal journal in written form. A youtube channel will have videos linked to the blog in some form but I have no intention on selling any affiliate links at this time. I’ve wondered this question for awhile so figured i’d finally ask lol
Hi Thomas, well… the purpose of SEO is to give your content the best chances of ranking in Google. However, that content must be helpful, well structured, well key-worded, and answer people’s questions (that’s why people Google things in the first place, right?).
What is the purpose of my blog?… if it’s just a hobby, don’t bother with any of these courses, but if it’s the kind of blog you want people to find, bring traffic to, and eventually monetize… then something like Stupid Simple SEO would be extremely beneficial.
I hope that helps.
Great post! Thanks for all the info!
My pleasure Susan! I hope it was helpful. 🙂
